My uncle says that Japan bought our metal before WWII and prices were high, then dropped (the metal) back on us and that's who have been buying some of it for the last few years now. There's stupid ones here in St. Louis too stealing wire from the signal lights at intersections while they're operating. That's when you just have to have it!!
