Also, don't forget that if you put a snatch block on the tractor and deadend (hook)the cable back by the winch, it gives double the amount of pulling power minus the friction of the snatch block but only half speed. So, a 5000# winch would theoretically pull close to 10,000#'s if the cable is large enough and you have enough cable to do that. Be sure to have a good strong mount for it, a snatch block rated for the amount being pulled and you'll be in good shape. ohfred
