Frontend loader problem

I have just got my Super Cub Farmall back from getting the front end loader attached. It works really good.

The problem we are having is that when the bucket is loaded and raised, the rear wheels spin. Is it supposed to do this or is my yuppie husband just messing around with it??? Also the loader will only pull a stump that is 6 or 8 inches in diameter, should'nt it lift out more???
