Well I guess I get the point but the animal to human analogy is pretty weak.First off 'Sheepdogs' generally refer to the class of dogs that drive or herd them not protect them.That is the job of LGD (Livestock Guard Dogs)which protect the animals they stay with and protect not herd them.I don't raise sheep but I do raise goats and the goats and LGD have a very close relationship and the goats that are raised with the dogs trust them throughly.And the dogs will fight to the death to protect the goats.And the LGD are there ready to go into action 24/7 they don't need 'down time' like mere humans.
