My dad put a 235 Chevy six (no governor) in an old Oliver 70 chassis in the early 60's. He pulled a Buick with an automatic trans fast enough to start it (30+ mph) One of the neighbors said dad passed his grain truck at about 45mph. My old Oliver 77 would turn @2600rpm when I bought it. Made for a wild ride home the first time!! I turned it back down quick!! Drove a TR75 New Holland that would run about 24-25 mph. That was way, way too fast on narrow back roads
