Do you plan on just cutting grass or doing more... snow removal, roto-tilling, etc...? The low end tractors are made mostly by:

...these tractors are sold through Agway, Sears/Craftsman, etc...ask the salerep who actually manufactures the machine Mid /High End $1600-2500

Toro/WheelHorse High End $2800-7000

Gravely
John Deere
Cub Cadet
Kubota I don't know if this helps and I don't know if there's a site that compares these.. There are lots more models too.. these are just some of the most popular. Good luck.
