1945 H Farmall with a Woods belly mower was the first tractor I operated solo. That is unless you count the hours I spent on a WC Allis pretending to operate it at 3-5 yrs old. I think the first tractor I actually ran the steering and controls on would have been a Case 1070 when I was 5-6 yrs old. I had adult supervision in the cab and was out in an open field. I spent a lot of hours riding around in that tractor when I was little. Later when I was in High School I ended up working for the guy that owned that same 1070. The first time I drove it I felt right at home.
