Why not get a 8 volt battery and then the only thing to change is the output on the regulator. Needs to be set to 9.2 volts. 8 volts is easier on the starting motor then using 12 volts and it spins the engine over just as fast. I'v changed over all my tractors, 3 H's, 1 M and 1 A and have had no problems.
