That statement sounds a lot like sour grapes. It was written by a GM employee who probably got paid a bonus for making it look like Japan had an unfair advantage. Is someone from GM actually going to admit that Japan is beating them? The Japanese vehicles wouldn't be selling in record numbers if they weren't a good product. GM could see the writing on the wall and of course they aren't happy. Toyota is now the largest seller in N. America and I think the world as well. Whether or not the unions contributed to the American auto makers downfall, the companies management have to take a lot of the blame. Dave
