It's basically an antifreeze that wont' harm your seals, and comes in an aerosol can with a hose going to a fitting to thread onto the water inlet to the pump. Real easy to use. Pull a couple of times on the starter rope to purge as much water as possible from the pump. Hook up the aerosol and give enough of a squirt to see some running out the other end. Better yet is to keep squirting while you turn the pump with the starter rope. Two or three pulls like that and you're set.
