Unions have a place, at certain times in certain areas. I have been on both sides. My union dues were a waste of my cash. The unions, IMHO, was better at keeping employees that didnt deserve a job, employed, which leads to excess indirect labor, and more uneven work load on the good employees. When I was laid off, the union was no where, with no help. My departments would have all performed much more efficiantly and positively if i didnt have that union, my employees would have made more and been evenly compensated for exceptional attitude and performance. Cant do that, you have to pat every one equally. Some unions are different but this one in that plant, are bad for the employees and the company.
