I'll tell you something that Deere has been better at than engineering and building tractors and equipment. Merchandising,selling their name,getting it out there. You're right,there weren't that many 2 cylinders out there. Oilver,Ford,Allis,Case,IH far outnumbered Deere around here. But walk in to most any store in any city,you can buy something with the Deere logo on it. They've made a better name for themselves with the logo than they have with quality products. Guess it just says "country" to city folks.
