Unplug the air temp sensor on the air cleaner assy and see if that changes the symptom. It will log a code but default to a set value.
What happens is the computer will sense it is unplugged and use a pre-determined 70 Degree value for the Sensor.
I am curious if they checked your Fuel Cetane level?? You may want to try a cetane additive to see if you have a fuel quality issue.
I question the injector theory unless they have been contaminated by water or gas and have been scored enough to cause problems. Injectors are very expensive for those engines.
