Some fluid is just for hyd. Many tractors combine the hyd & the rear end gears. These gears will not get properly lubed on just hyd fluid. You need Universal Trans-Hydraulic fluid. Perhaps in the fine print, but somewhere, it will list what tractors it is universally compatable with. It should list the Hytran, or Case/IHC compatability on it.
You can find a generic Case/IH formulated UTF as well - designed for just Case/IH tractors.
And of course, a Case dealer will have the 'real thing' on the shelf.
