I also have a 17/223 wildcat precursor to the 17 Rem. 4000 FPS is really fum to shoot. I have been reloading since I bought my first hand-loader a Lee Loader for 30/30 use a soft hammer and you can load any where. Still got it out in the shop.
I have a very early T/C Contender with 5 barrels 17/223 30/30 44 mag 357 mag and 22 hornet. Had more but they were stolen years ago. The gun does not have the any stamped on engraving and came with walnut hand checkered stocks. I have been told its worth around $10,000 now that's a lot more than I paid back 1968 for it. Walt
