By all means, put it on a dyno and after a proper warm-up, you can get a reading but be careful with it. I have done many,many dyno tests and I can make an 8N Ford read 65 hp. It takes a real engineer to run tests like fuel economy or rated hp. The best test your dealer can do is max hp and he'll do that by winding the tractor out to full blast and then pull it down to 540 with the dyno. Depending on the tractor, it'll be working hard. Make sure the dyno is connected properly and secured. Good Luck. Tom
