layoffs? The "business brain trust" on this forum spent quite a bit of time explaining to me that corp taxation only gets passed on to the man on the street through price increases- they tell me they can't afford to lay anyone off. Frankly, I just do not think they get it. Market sets the selling price. To maintain profit, all you can do is reduce controllable expenses- payroll being the largest.
As for me- I've sent 36 home in the past two months, and it doesn't look like it will get any better regardless of the outcome on Nov 4. I beleive that we will be heading into massive unemployment.
