They were also the last picker Deere ever made, production ended around 1979. One of those in excellent condition goes for around $7500 in this area. they also do not show up for sale very often. Gunther Heussman Inc, 4801 s. 5th street, Emmaus, PA 18049 610-965-5203 has a 300A with a 2 row head. The late model JD pickers like the 300 had fluted rollers with stipper plates (plates over the rollers with a slot down the middle). This design is like combines of today. Did these work better than the old NI exposed rollers?
