Willy also signed the NAFTA agreement so there wouldn't be any tariff on imported goods. Of course the manufacturers then ran straight to the low wage countries to have their goods manufactured. To be fair Old Man Bush Sr. also was in favor of NAFTA.
NAFTA took away the blue and white collar jobs and those previous risky loans turned into a real disaster when the borrowers didn' t have even a low paying job to float their boat. Those ignorant, puffy old shirts in Wahington that set their own wages, health care, retirement, and work standards all have to be removed and sent packing without a golden parachute.
Lobbying and law firms will certainly try to capitalize on any new bailout laws, forming special task forces designed to create one-stop shopping for companies with issues and concerns about the financial crisis. So it creates a totally new entity that can be manipulated and used for personal gain. It will get worse as these opprotunities are exploited.
