there is very little difference between the 2,and the 9n now, the 2n was introduced in 1942, as a war production tractor, some came with magneto ignition,no electrical system, hand crank to start and some even had steel wheels, after wwll most of these were retrofitted with starters, lites rubber tires ect, you will need to use the serial number [ which will always start with 9nxxxx] and the chart to the left to tell weather the tractor is a 9 or a 2 n, also a 8n engine will bolt rght in, so dont be suprised if your serial number starts with 8n there seems to be a lot of those out there too
