Man, you are bringing back some old memories. Had a 1972 Ranchero with a 351C, never had it on the track, but it would get with the program. Did a lot of street racing with that one, did not get beat very much. After flogging and destroying the tranny in that one, bought a new 1976 Ford F150 pickup truck, had a 390 engine in it. Had it a year, changed cam, 4:11 gears in the Ford 9", put headers on it, bigger carb, ran mid 12s on the strip, only got beat once on the street. Guy had a built 454 in a Chevy short bed, he ate my lunch, but he had $2500.00 in his engine, I had less than $500.00. Wish I still had either one. But I now have a 2000 F250 with a PSD, got a K&N air filter, Super Chips tuner, 4" turbo back exhaust, it gets with it also. I like to get from point A to point B in decent time. Also had a 1976 KZ400 Kawasaki, 2 stroke 3 cylinder, would bury the speedo, over 140MPH. Now that was scarry quick. Lucky I am not dead.
Jim

Today's Featured Article - The Day Mom Drove the 8N - by Brian Browning. My Dad was wanting to put in a garden but couldn't operate the 8N and handle the old horse drawn plow he had found and rigged up to use with the tractor. Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
