While I was hauling fuel awhile back a service station we were re-doing after another company started to remove old tanks, They were trying to weld a hook on the tank when it exploded and killed a nearby worker, the welder somehow only lost his hearing an was maimed for life he was on top of the thank when it exploded.
Another incident last year, A junk man was given two old submersible gas pumps given to him that had layed around outside for a couple years, he tried to cut one with torch for junk when it exploded the force knocked him back against the garage door hurt his back had burns on face and arms.
