First of all you need an analysis of the NPK that is in the manure. Done that for years from 1985-2001 when we quit dairy with the liquid pit. Custom pumper did the tests, tried to hold the app to 5000 gallons per acre. Usually ended up with about 180 lbs N per acre, and about half of remaining is available each year. Hog manure is likely more N intensive- need the tests to determine that, along with rate per acre. Over the years, covered all 400 owned acres, no additional fertilizer on applied corn acres, except maybe 80 pounds starter with the planter- cold wet Springs in MN.
