Somebody else's worst turned out to be one of my best. Some years back, I hired a secretary, and a few days later I drove my wife's rig to work- '84 GMC conversion van with 6.2 diesel. She asked how I liked it, etc.- I said it was great. She started laughing- "You don't remember- you bought that from my husband and I several years ago. I'm laughing because we sold it because we were tired of fixing it." I had it for several years, put about 150K miles on it, very minimal problems (transmission went out at about 225K). I still see it around town occasionally, and present owner says pushing 400K miles, and still doin' fine.
