i have a case 2590 that i beleve the tcv is shot. about 100 hours after the machine was bought 2 of the spools in the tcv stuck. common problem i did just as hundreds others have done, i puled them out clened them up reinstalled them and went on my merry way. well 40 hours after that the same spools stuck agin this time i took the tcv apart went through it and cleaned it up also split the machine and cleaned the screen also removed the pto housing to inspect the ring and pinion. other than the fine meteal i found in the tcv the screen was clear as well as the back half. put the tractor back together new filters and new hightran and 20hrs after, it did it agin except now if i cleen the spools up the tractor will go 20ft and lock down agin every time. any sugestions? i think the tcv is shot. why they made a tcv with an aluminum housing is beyond me!
