The only advantagae I see with the EdenPure 1000 Gen 3 is that it produces 5,000 BTUs from almost 1500 watts at much lower temperature and therefore does not present a fire hazard as hot filaments in conventional electric heaters do. I guess the $400 price includes substantial research and development costs in addition to a sales commission.
