Coupe36 I don't think the cost of the permit is not quite the issue as they want to see documentation as to what is on your property so they can assess the proper tax on your property. I know what happened to me I built a fairly large house 9 years ago and paid $600 for a permit and had to submit one of my $8000 certified prints to the county and after all that got an occupancy permit. Last year had a note on my door when I got home that was left by the county auditor that said we need to know how many bathrooms are in your house so I wrote back and said that I spent $600 for a permit filed with the county and it was built to print so you can walse your lazy Butt in there and find out for yourself, never heard another word.
