Just for fun have your neighbor see if the jeeps have factory tailgate fittings or if the tailgate area was cut out by hand. Also look at the frame cross brace frame above the rear axel and see if there is a plate mounted on it. If tailgate is cut in body and it has the plate on the frame ,it is a WW11 military jeep that was modified after the war. This will date the jeep 41-45 Bill
