Pretty shure KY is the same. If some one can get down it with a boat it is public property. If they can't they are tresspassing. I do know it is that way with a river. If you put your boat in the river to go duck hunting you can go anywhere you want in the flooded bottoms. The trees are still the land owner's. If you dive a boat from the river across a cornfield and tie off your boat to a tree you have to have permission from the land owner. I have several creeks on me that you can only get a small boat down a few times a year and you would only be able to go one way then! :) I pay taxes on it, I can say who hunts and traps along it, way I see it I pay taxes on the rock in the bottom too.
