I was using one of my OLD garden tractors last nite and was annoyed by how fast the reverse gear is. Does anyone know the reason why the old tractor engineers used a reverse ratio that is so fast? It's the same case on my 8N and a Gravely I used to have too. I always thought you should back up slowly.
