If it has the two fuel tanks, check to the rear of the engine on the right side. You'll probably find a shutoff valve (gate) in the hose from the upper to lower tank. Open it... I'd expect that it't vacuum locking the lower tank where it draws from but when you leave it sit the vacuum is released from the breather line or something along that line. If that doesn't help... you get to play the airleak game. Specifically, you get to find the airleak. I'd also change the fuel filter right away as a matter of course. If you have the upper tank full and can't gravity bleed the filter and pump, you have a flow problem leading to the filter...
