You can get by with connecting a single hose to your tractor. But, if your tractor does not have a float position you should connect another hose to the one you did not use and plumb it back to the reservoir. This way you won't be pressuring up your system when letting you haybine down. Another note you should be aware of that on some farm tractors remote valves have check valves in them and will require pressure to release them. This is done so that implements can't be let down when tractor is not running. You will find this out the first time you let your haybine down.
