Lanse, you need to look at govt/ municipal surplus auctions ( try publicsurplus.com). You'll see a lot of pretty clean pickups that are high mileage sell real cheap- but these things are usually maintained by motor pool mechanics and way better maintained than most private trucks. Freind of my daughters bought a late model S-10 for $700 with 114,000 on the odo off this, and a year later it still runs like a new truck. Some great equipment and tool deals on that site too.
