the napa by my shop takes old batteries for free. its not worth the hassle for me to store batteries at the shop and haul them to the scrapper. also we have a scrap metal bin outside the shop that any metal from the body shop goes in to. the scavengers pick it up about every other day. they can haul it and have the money for it. one less headache for me, and its just plain not worth my time and fuel to drive to the recycler (about 45 miles one way) to sell it.
