Yeabut-- this makes me think of a friend who has a UB Minneapolis and he wins lots of less "formal" (local old iron) pulls. There's nothing fancy lookin' about his Minney. It needs paint. But it's bored and stroked with hi compression so it makes 110 hp. Fancy lookin' and winnin' don't necessarily go hand in hand. I've told him it deserves paint and he shrugs and says that wouldn't make it pull better.
