Here in Texas those lineman are the most popular people. When the power comes back on people run out and cheer in the streets. Most folks see those guys coming into the neighborhoods and they come out and offer drinks, food, beer, whatever they have to share. Some of the crews are from as far away as Canada. Friday I saw a long line of vehicles going west on I-10, when I passed them I saw they were the Los Angeles search and rescue teams going home. As I passed each one I gave them a big thumbs up and a smile. Sums up the attitude of all Texans, Thanks for all the help.
