While I didnt set out to charge this way in figuring what I charge for each power unit its pretty close to 1.00 per horsepower hour. I get a little more than that for the skidloader and dozer, and a little less for the tractors but that hits at the ball park. For 86 hp tractor and me, plus machine I charge 60.00 an hour, skidloader 65hp is 75.00 and hour, and the dozer is 85.00 for 75 hp. Minimum is 2 hrs on the skid loader, and 4 hours on the tractor and dozer. Time starts when I start on the job, travel time up to 20 miles each way is included except for the dozer, over that its 2.50 per loaded mile. Dozer if less than 30 hours is 100.00 to set up on the job for 20 miles or less and 3.00 per loaded mile beyond that.
