It's SAD, but TRUE. A pre-nup would not be a bad idea in this day and age.
I have had many ups and downs in my marriage of nearly 26 years, but THANKFULLY have not (yet) had to deal with the "big D". The wife is not ready to leave (yet) but she is not shy about saying she'd never do the marriage or kid thing over, if she could go back and start over.
I have seen SO many friends an acquaintances go through it, not to mention all the "big D" posts on here, it seems there's enough misery to go around, and a guy is pretty blind to it in the "dating stage" of the relationship!
