Like Teddy said get the rotor to spark on terminal in dist cap. Preferably #1 terminal if you know where the drive lugs should be when it fires on #1 otherwise just figure it out and put the wires on in correct firing order. Gear cases weren't suppose to come apart so never was info on how to time those gears in Wico service manual or marks on the gears but many old and new ones always came apart. Way back those were stocked by dealers as a regular service part but you'd be lucky to find a NOS or used one now as they quit making new ones many many moons ago.
