Wheat will be fine in cattle as long as it is mixed with other grains. We feed it to beef cattle and have fed it to dairy cattle. The mix was about a 1/4 wheat 1/4 oats and half corn. We also fed haylage( hay that is fermented like corn silage and free choice dry hay. The beef cattle are getting half wheat corn mix or as it comes out of the bin as the wheat was dumped in the same bin and mixes as it drains out. then pasture along with dry hay again free chice. The hay will dilute the grain some even though it goes into the rumen. I should note we fed sodium bicarbonate to the diary herd to control the acid level.
