It irks me when people keep carping on McCain not knowing how many houses he owns.
Actually, HE doesn't own them, his wife does. And some are condos in condo complexes, probably tied up in trusts, etc. To me, it's perfectly understandable if he can't spit an answer off the top of his head. It's not like he, personally, had gone downtown and bought a particular number of single family dwellings and every month personally collects the rent.
I've never owned more than one or two houses at a time, (two at present), but if someone asked me how many houses I've owned in my life, I'd have to stop and count.
