Hi Walt,
I'm not a chemist and was just reading the label off the jar. Different types of sodium silicate with simular properties?
Doing a google search returned some uses for sodium silicate that I have never even heard of.
I see I did make a error tho, as it will combine too set at 210º/220º but it takes over 1500º to recombine from glass state to a liquid.
That isn't what I found when I added to much to a diesel too seal a head gasket leak where I plugged up the water pump and suction hose. Here I just used water and engine heat to flush the crystals out. I never could get the heater core unplugged.
