the guys on red power forum have talked about this happening in designated areas, like around dallas, texas. older tractors like 06 -66 series ih and 30/40 series jd have their frame cut and a hole knocked in the block. in return the former owner gets a good chunk paid of the cost of a new tractor. i think it was more than 20% but i don't remember the exact amount. tree huggers should be happy. guys like us- not so much.
