Those Fire Ants will be here after we are extinct.. I had a place where a dam was leaking.(Loose connection on a pipe, once we dug down to it, thankfully) There was a fireant hill, where we started digging with the trackhoe. I made some measurements of the ant's nest in the dirt.. It was about 12 feet across, and 12 feet deep. shaped like a teardrop.. IMHO, nothing will ever eradicate them.. It seems the more we do to kill them, the more they take over.. I just ignore them, now..
