The front end on my C attatches with studs to the block. As it does this, it presses the timing cover gasket to the block.
In theory.
A few weeks back i poured in a quart of oil and it came right back out. Nice.
I dont know what it is, but i figured the front end wasnt pressing on the cover enough. A 4 mile each way trip to the hardware store produces the wrong size washers. LAst time i ever go there. They were $.50 each too.
Another trip to yuppie supply produces the right ones. So i get them on one stud. Then two. Then almost 3 and theres a snap. Now the nut wont come back off. Nothing moves on there. I would take a picture but in true Lanse Edwards style the camera doesnt work. Who puts fine thread studs on a tractor in the first place????
The wrench is 13" long. No cheater bars even. This tractor has been nothing but time, frustration, and money. How the hell do i fix this brillant move???
