I plow snow with aq couple of Ford 3000s, a Ford
860, a For 640, and a MM U302 and I have found
that the double ring chains work better than the
skidder chains. With enough weight if the double
rings slip it is better than the skidder studs
digging a bottomless pit I can't get out of. I
have added a extra double ring cross chain between
the ones already on the chains when you buy them.
That way you are constantley on chain and it rides
better and you have more constant traction.
The Duo-grip chains tended to slip more for me but
some like the better ride.
