I change my own tires all the time. To break the bead I drive the front tire of my PU up on to the tire close to the rim. Then I use a couple of crowbars to remove the tire from the rim. I just bought a used tire for a tractor I was selling and had to turn it around on the rim to get the right direction. Took about an hour start to finish. It really isn't that hard.
