I plow snow with a Farmall 'A' and I know what you mean about spinning. All I had was a set of truck type chains. 'Bout useless-- the cross links fit right in between the tire cleats. A neighbor is in the logging industry and was able to find me a set of 'used beyond repair' skidder chains. I cut the 8 inch rings off the side links and have mounted them to the side chains of my truck chains. (I removed the original cross links) Rides like it was on steel wheels. The big rings are about as wide as my tires and I wish they were only about 6 inches wide, but for free---what the hey. Traction is GREAT but not so much that I might break something.
