Not sure about the date of manufacture. They were better than any Van Brunt drill for not pluging in a little mud but to cover better pull a spike tooth or chain behind. The seed is the front boxes and rear are fetilizer.Then the little box on the front was for seeding Clover, Alfalfa or such. I think yours has been painted. Ours was green boxes of wood and red frame and wheels with yellow stripes on the back of the boxes with the letters Oliver Superior on them if we still had it, I would go get some pictures and post them for you.
