I have been burned in the past also. You all might want to consider an escrow service such as www.iescrow.com for handling these types of transactions. (You pay IEscrow in advance, seller ships to you, you sign for parts when received, IEscrow then pays the seller). Only costs a couple of dollars. I have done this successfully with a camera lens from a guy in Switzerland. (I have no financial or interest in IEscrow.)
